High-speed cavity back technology delivers longer and straighter shots.

Utilized in drivers for the first time, this technology positions the weight of the golf club at the heel and toe to enhance forgiveness and add even more distance to off-center shots. The result is more stability at impact for greater distance and control.

NexCOR Face Technology produces faster, longer shots across a wider area of the face.

With a hot zone that's 45 percent larger, NexCOR creates more speed at impact with a variable face thickness that moves the sweet spot higher—from the heel of the club to the center high—where golfers are most likely to make impact.

At BOSSPORTS we deal with those brands you know, but are not always available to us here on the Peninsula.

Founded in 1987, Adams Golf, Inc. designs, assembles, markets and distributes premium quality, technologically innovative golf clubs. Adams Golf operates in a single segment within the golf industry (golf clubs and accessories) and offers more than one category of product within each segment.

Over the years Wilson introduced a number of innovations in golf equipment. They were the first to produce irons with an offset hosel in 1933, a design feature still used on player improvement irons today. That same year Wilson began manufacturing the first sand wedge that its professional advisor Gene Sarazen had invented. It was the first club to incorporate "bounce" that made the explosion shot possible. In its first production year alone Wilson sold 50,000 of the new sand wedges. In 1941 they came out with the first laminated maple wooden club heads that they called Strata-Bloc. The material was stronger and much more resistant to moisture than the solid maple and persimmon woods of the time, and other clubmakers soon began producing similar clubs. In 1954 Wilson advanced the science of golf ball design with a ball that sprung off the club face much faster than the speed of the club head.

Wilson Golf Today

Wilson's position in the golf world diminished after 1990, but in recen"t years its golf products have begun to make a comeback. Since 2005, "Golf Digest has awarded gold ratings in its annual golf equipment Hot List to the Wilson Staff Zip golf ball as well as their Di9 irons and Smooth driver. "Golf Magazine" named the Wilson Ci7 irons "Club of the Year" in 2008 and the model became a top seller. As in the past Wilson has signed professional golfers as advisers. Those currently using and promoting Wilson equipment include Padraig Harrington, Jesper Parnevik and Ricky Barnes

Cleveland Golf began as a company known for producing exquisite replicas of classic golf clubs. Today, Cleveland Golf is a leader in wedges highly regarded for creating innovative equipment with advanced technology.

Roger Cleveland founded the company, which was first called Cleveland Classics, in 1979. Persimmon woods like the TC15 became very popular on Tour, as did many Cleveland wedges. The most played wedge was the brand’s fifth design released in 1988 – the 588. To this day, the 588 wedge is one of the best selling golf clubs of all time.

In 1990, ski equipment manufacturer Rossignol purchased the company, and the name was changed to Cleveland Golf. Sales continued to grow with clubs such as VAS woods and irons, which featured advanced technology and progressive design. Later in the decade, Tour Action irons and QuadPro woods were introduced with more classic designs and enhanced playability for golfers of all skill levels.

As a leading equipment brand, Cleveland Golf began to sponsor world-class Tour players like Vijay Singh, who has been a staffer since 1999.

Quiksilver, Inc., a leading surf brand, purchased the assets of Rossignol in 2005 and operated Cleveland Golf until December 2007. At that point, Dunlop Sports Co. Ltd. purchased Cleveland Golf. Dunlop Sports Co. Ltd. owns and operates several brands around the world which combine to make it the No. 1 golf club brand and No. 2 golf ball brand in Japan and have a major presence in Europe and North America. In addition to its North America headquarters in Huntington Beach, California, Cleveland Golf has three international affiliates located in Japan, Europe and Canada, as well as 26 worldwide distributors.

Cleveland Golf has a proud heritage of being at the cutting edge of innovation, helping golfers of all abilities have more fun and hit the ball longer, straighter and closer to the hole. The company was the first to market wedges with multiple bounce options on the sole and individually mill grooves into wedge faces. Cleveland has also set the pace in woods, being the first major manufacturer to produce a 460cc driver – the Launcher 460, in 2003 – and a geometrically shaped driver – the HiBore, in 2006.

In 2013, Cleveland Golf remains committed to providing Tour-proven, premium equipment to passionate golfers at value-driven prices. The company continues to enjoy a strong presence on professional tours worldwide, with a staff that includes major champions Keegan Bradley, Graeme McDowell, David Toms and Vijay Singh.
